This weekend was packed full of activities.  Saturday morning we had a nice breakfast at home, then off to the farmer’s market.  We spent time throwing coins into the fountain, got lunch, then off to Sephora.  I have been completely obsessed with buying new lipsticks lately.  I can’t get enough nudes, and raspberry/cranberry/wine colors.  Before going home we stopped and purchased a big rug to go in our family room.  See here for a picture of my hubby carrying it for me.  I’m so glad he was with me, I would have never been able to get that rug up to the register without him.  By the time we got home we were all so tired.  We ordered a pizza, put on our pj’s and watched ‘Blended’.  We loved the movie, tons of light hearted comedy!  I love anything with Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore, they are both so funny and Drew is always so adorable!

I have been completely obsessed with tutu skirts lately.  So clearly I had to run out and buy one!  They are so much fun!!  I couldn’t decide how to dress it up.  I was thinking a basic tee or tank, graphic tee, something with a pattern; but a classic white shirt won in the end.  I had so much fun walking around in this skirt.  It made me feel so happy.  I can’t wait to wear it again.  What a great way to start my weekend!!

Urban Decay has a brand new palette, the Naked 2 Basics. It has 6 shades, 5 matte and 1 shimmer, all in cool toned neutrals. These colors are great to wear with anything you currently own or create a look using only these colors (like what I did). These are great up to date / modern neutral colors to add to your current makeup collection. For $29, it’s a must have for me!

August Favorites

August Favorites 2014

1. French Connection ‘Ellis’ Pump | 2. Baublebar (anything!) | 3. Destroyed Denim Shirt | 4. Rebecca Minkoff Avery Tote | 5.  Living Proof Style Lap Instant Texture Mist | 6. Loeffler Randall Lock Clutch Pyt Print | 7. Via Spiga Birna Short Boot | 8. Peter Thomas Roth Rose Gel Mask | 9. Rebecca Minkoff Love Cross Body Bag | 10. BlankNYC Taupe Faux Leather Jacket

I can’t believe August is over and we are already in September.  My kids are in full swing school schedule which means my summer is officially over, bummer!  Summer is my favorite time of year and I wish it could last forever.  One thing that makes it a little easier is fall fashion.  I am ob-sessed with all things for fall.

Lately I have been buying mostly handbags and shoes, specifically pumps and boots.  I’m so anxious to get anything for fall.  I want to make sure that it will transition well from this warm weather into cooler weather.  I am loving cross body bags, clutches and big bags to carry all my stuff, any kind of pump or boot (LOVE!), fun jewelry, denim shirts and jackets.  All these pieces are great right now and will work perfectly as the cooler weather comes.

The hair mist from Living Proof is awesome!  Spray it in your wet hair and let it air dry for the perfect beachy waves, no crunchiness included.  Or blow dry it for a textured look.  The mask from PTR is gentle enough to use every day if needed.  It’s great for skin looking dry, dull and dehydrated.  I use it whenever my skin needs that hydrated, dewy look.

What pieces are you buying right now to make your transition from summer to fall?
