Tweeze

Tweezing

Tweezing correctly is very important and very easy!  Use 2 fingers and hold down the skin around the area you are going to tweeze.  Grab the hair at the bottom, closest to the skin as possible without pinching the skin.  Then quickly pull the hair out in the direct of the hair growth in one smooth motion.  Bam, done!!!  Pulling the hair in the direction of the hair growth will avoid the hair breaking off.  Always tweeze one hair at a time.  Never grab multiple hairs and attempt to pull them all at once.  Tweezing while on your period will hurt more.  The best time to tweeze is after a shower.

Moving on to what happens when you tweeze incorrectly.  I don’t want to scare you, only telling you the truth because I love ya.  When you tweeze without holding down the skin you are pulling the skin up when you are tweezing the hair out.  This will cause wrinkling and sagging of the skin and possible bruising or red/sensitive skin.  Make sure to take the extra few seconds and tweeze correctly.  After years and years of tweezing, your skin will thank you!

One more helpful tip – Always say tweeze, never pluck.  You tweeze your eyebrows, you pluck a chicken.  Now go and tweeze the bushes right!
I’m using tweezerman tweezers.

    1. Yes, I recommend waxing. Make sure to hold the skin down when pulling the waxing strip.

  1. I guess I don’t understand the difference between tweezing and plucking. And another question, I get my eyebrows threaded and recently got my upper lip threaded as well (in my late 40’s and getting a bit of a ‘stache). A few days later I got red bumps on my upper lip. What can I do to avoid this?
