I have to admit, most of my closet is black.  I’ve been trying to force myself lately to wear more color.  When I don’t know what to wear I always grab my black ripped jeans and either an all black, or black & white top.  These frame jeans are the most comfortable jeans ever!!

Bite Beauty came out with some limited edition lipstick shades.  These are a matte creme formula.  Which is awesome!  I love the matte lipstick trend that is happening right now.  But I’m not a fan of how dry most matte lipsticks feel on my lips.  These go on like a normal lipstick, very smooth feeling and feel smooth the entire time while wearing it.  Because of the creme formula, they are not going to look like an extreme matte.

I went to Sephora to check out the shades and I got 2 of the colors, Juniper (wearing in this post) and Plum.  I’m already thinking about going back and getting more :)

This past weekend we spent Saturday out all day enjoying the warm sunny day.  We started first with an early lunch with most of John’s family.  We had so much fun!  John’s Grandma (who is in her 90’s) asked me questions about my New York trip.  It was so cute how she doesn’t get why anyone would get so excited over makeup!?!  It was fun watching all the kids play together.  Sofia was acting like a little mommy reading, telling stories and playing peek-a-boo to my cousins son who is 1.  (what is the correct name of my relationship to my cousins son?)  Who cares, we’re family!

Then off to Nordstrom, of course!  It was the last weekend of the anniversary sale and I had to take one last walk thru to make sure I didn’t miss anything.  Then we stopped by a local art fair and walked around.  We got Phoebe fitted for a new collar, lemonade at Starbucks, visited a dance studio (possibility for Sofia for fall).  Then tons of pizza and wine for dinner while watching a movie at home.

This dress was great the whole day for everything.  Very comfortable and easy to wear.  The day started off cooler and going to a restaurant I needed a jacket.  In the afternoon it was in the 90’s so I took my jacket off.  You can see here in my Instagram pic how the dress looks alone.  The flats were perfect for all the walking we did.  This dress would also look great with a pair of ballet flats, wedges or chunky heels.

Leith Dress / Joe’s Shoes / Vince Camuto Bag, Save, Splurge / Sonya Renee Earrings / Dior Addict Lipstick ‘Princess’

I love to wear dresses.  I think they are the easiest, most feminine thing to wear.  It’s an entire outfit in one piece. I love dresses like this one.  It a solid color, so I can have fun accessorizing in different ways.  Today I choose a fun shoe and simple earrings.  This dress also looks great with flats, a statement necklace or bold earrings.  I got this dress on the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale (tomorrow is the last day!) for $38 and it comes in more colors.  I think I will be ordering the black.  It will be a must have for fall with cute booties.

Tomorrow, Sunday the 2nd is the last day for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale.  It’s the last day to get your pre-fall items on sale.  On Monday everything will go back up to full price.  You can see my Nordstrom haul post here, where I show you everything I purchased for myself and my family.  I have purchased a couple more things since my haul post (oops!).  Including the Joe’s pumps I’m wearing in this post and these Joie shoes.  This is by far my favorite sale of the entire year!!
