Zit Cover Up

A few days ago I posted on how to take care of a zit.  If you missed it, click here to read.  Now let’s talk about how to cover up those annoying little monsters.  You can see in this picture my zit in between my eye brows.

Showing Zit Between Eye Brows

Using Mac Pro Longwear Concealer in shade NW15 with Sigma brush P84, I am going to use a thin layer of concealer and dot and dab the concealer exactly in the spot I want covered.  Take your time, I usually dot and dab for at least 1 minute.  The key is to use multiple thin layers of concealer, not 1 thick layer.  I usually have to apply 2-3 thin layers of concealer.

After applying the concealer, I use Mac Mineralized Skinfinish in shade light plus with Sigma brush F70.

Gently press the powder into the concealed zit to completely set the concealer.

Time for foundation.  I am using Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk in shade 5 with Sigma brush F80.  I apply the foundation all over my face, then with a light hand I gently apply a thin layer in the zit covered area.  I do this so my entire face is an even color.

Using a big fluffy brush, I’m using Sigma brush F30, dust a little powder all over to set everything.  After this I apply my bronzer, blush and hi-light as normal.

Here is the finished face, you would never know there is a zit underneath.  And, it doesn’t look thick and clumpy.  I went out and my zit stayed covered up all night!

  1. First off thank you so much for your blog! It’s great!! Second can I ask: I’ve alway been told not to layer liquid over powder. Do you run into problems with the foundation breaking down or looking cakey because the powder is under the liquid?

    1. Typically you should never apply a liquid on top of a powder. I apply such a thin amount of the foundation on top of the powder, I never have a problem with cracking or cakey looking.

  2. I am doing my best friends make up for her wedding in June and she desperatly wants me to do it like you have it in this blog! Could you please tell me what eye shadows you used?
