Vegas Trip & Meeting J.Lo!

J.Lo concert

We did a 3 day girls trip to Vegas and it was so much fun!!!

We stayed at the Wynn, which is so gorgeous!  I didn’t feel like I was in Vegas, this hotel felt like I was at a resort.  Everything is so beautiful.  Our room was big and gorgeous!!  And the view from our room was awesome!

When we woke up in the morning we all had breakfast together.  The food was delicious!  I think between all of us we tried almost everything on the menu.

The days were spent relaxing by the pool.  We all have been so busy in our personal lives, it felt sooooo good to relax and laugh all afternoon.

Of course the highlight of the trip was the J.Lo concert!!!!  The concert was so incredible there are no words!  I have always loved J.Lo.  But after seeing her in concert I am so much more impressed by her.

It takes so much talent to sing, dance and perform like she did for almost 2 hours without taking a break!!!  I was sweaty and exhausted just dancing in the crowd!  And she looked fabulous and fierce the whole time!

My favorite thing about seeing her perform is when she was being so fierce, she would look out at the crowd and smile or giggle.  You can tell how much she loves what she is going and it brings her so much joy.

My favorite part of the entire concert is when she sang a song dedicated to her kids.  She talked about how she wanted to do something for her kids that they can look back on and be proud of.  She sang ‘I Hope You Dance’.  It was so moving we were all balling like babies.

end of the show

Meeting Jennifer Lopez was so surreal.  We first got to go up on stage and walk around and see some of the props used during the show.  Then we lined up to go back and meet her.  I was shaking and I didn’t know what to say.  She is much more petite in person than I expected.

When I met her I hugged her and told her how much I enjoyed the show.  I told her that my favorite part is when she sang the song for her kids.  And how especially as a Mom it was so touching (and that I cried all the way through).  She told me that is also her favorite part of the show.  And that she also cries while performing that song.

We took the picture, hugged again and that was it.  She was very sweet, kind and enduring.  I got such a warm and loving vibe from her.  Meeting her made me love her so much more!

This is seriously one of the best trips ever!  It was 3 days of nothing but fun and excitement!  I had soooo much fun with these girls!  It was the perfect mix of crazy fun and relaxing.  Hopefully we can make it an annual trip!!

Thank you Jaclyn for everything!  Thank you Adena, Mom, Jaclyn, Jackie & Micah for an amazing time and awesome memories!!

going home

I have been doing more traveling lately and this has been my travel uniform.  Comfy (thick) leggings and this oversized jacket that is lightweight and is as comfortable as a soft sweater.  I love that it is long and oversized!  And yes, I travel in heels.  My legs are so short that when I wear flats my feet don’t touch the floor of the plane when I am sitting in my seat.  These heels are crazy comfortable and I can walk miles in them.

  1. Can we talk for a minute about how your mom (Robin) looks just as great as the rest of you?? She looks like she’s the same age as you all! What great genes! Maybe she could do a guest blog post on her secrets/tips/tricks to aging gracefully & staying hot throughout the years? :)

Rachel, Jaclyn, & Robin — I know I don’t know you in real life but I feel like I’ve come to know you through reading your blog posts & watching Jaclyn’s videos — you all inspire me to be more positive, live life to the fullest, and serve a good reminder that being silly is an important part of life.

Oh and Rachel… I would love for you to do a post talking about your thoughts on being a mother, how you try to raise your kids best, etc. I know it might be daunting to do as with anything on the internet you could get backlash of people saying your way isn’t the right way, but as a mom with an 11 month old daughter I would be interested to hear your thoughts!

Keep up the great work, love your blog!

    Have a great day <3

  2. You look like you had such a fun time! Love hearing about when people come and soak up all that Vegas has to offer – Love the city I call home !
