John and I just celebrated 13 years of marriage!  I can’t believe it!  With our move and all of the changes this summer I feel like we have barely spent any time together.  To celebrate our anniversary we spent a weekend away at the Don CeSar in St. Pete.  It was much needed time together!

In 13 years we have had many ups and downs, and not in the cliche greeting card way.  There has been moments where I didn’t know if we would make it thru.

Life can get so busy and it’s so easy to put your marriage on the back burner.  One thing I have learned is you have to make time for each other.  Quality time is so important!  Make time to talk and spend time just focused on each other.  Turn off the phones and just laugh together!

If you want to know more about how we worked thru our problems and my thoughts on marriage, just let me know.  I am an open book!  I’m not embarrassed at all about the issues we have been thru.  And if my problems in the past can help you, I will share :)

  1. Would love to hear your thoughts in marriage and how you worked through them. I’ve been married 7 years and everyday you need to work on it.

  2. I’d love to hear your thoughts, I’m getting married soon and I’d like to know what to look for and how to have a happy and healthy marriage as best as we can xxx

  3. You look so pretty in any shade of pink! Yes share all you can about working through your marriage problems. So many couples don’t even try any more. I have been married 36 yrs and we still have problems from time to time. You just never give up. Happy Anniversary.

  4. I would love to hear more about your thoughts on marriage, relationships, etc! You are the realest! <3

  5. Rachel I also would love to hear more thoughts on marriage and relationships from you! Or even you and your sister in either a blog post and/or video. :)

How do you know when you’re ready to get married? Did either of you wait to have sex until you were married? How did you meet your husbands?

  6. Happy Anniversary! My husband and I will be celebrating our 11 year anniversary this October, 12 and a half years together. It’s tough. Our issue is time and no one to babysit. He works at a power plant so he works days, off a couple, then nights, off a couple, repeat. It makes life complicated. Also, we have no one around that’s willing to watch our kids so a night out is a once a year or every two year thing, literally. I don’t trust strangers with my little ones so, that’s a no go. It’s very hard to keep a marriage strong when you have no alone time on top of all the other challenges life likes to throw your way just to make things interesting ;-) Also, I have major self confidence issues that I know don’t make things easier. Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks!

  7. I would love to know more. Been married 10 years and my husband and I were JUST talking about how hard marriage can be when it’s hard and how easy it can be when it’s easy. The cycles never end!

  8. On this blog and on your instagram, it just seems like your family is perfect. You’re always gushing about how sweet your kids are, how amazing your husband is etc. Because your husband takes your photos for the blog, how does he find time to do that with his normal job? And what are his thoughts on you being a blogger and shopping a lot?
