I wore this dress in Vegas with lace up sandals.  I love this dress so much I wanted to be able to wear it more than just a night out.  I don’t go out that much on the weekend (I’m usually at home in leggings with my family).  So I styled it to make it daytime appropriate.

I of course could put on a denim jacket and booties (I did and it looked really cute!).  But I started to think about all my friends who go to work at an office every day and what their needs are for wardrobe.  You are sitting at a desk most of the day, so the outfit needs to be comfortable.  But you want to look professional when going to meetings.  I kept all this in mind when styling this look.

This dress is extremely comfortable.  You can sit and move in it all day.  I paired a long vest with it to cover up the sexiness of the dress and give it a professional look.  The turquoise pumps add some fun while still being professional.  If colorful pumps are outside your comfort zone, you can of course wear black or nude pumps.

I am in love with cold should tops!  They are so effortless and breezy, comfortable to wear and they look amazing!  I especially love this one because of the slight flare on the sleeve and the cute detailing by the shoulder.  This top is soooo comfortable to wear.

This outfit is also perfect for a 4th of July party.  If you are outside and it’s hot switch out the jeans for white shorts, or these for $68.  Wear some blue earrings or blue sandals to look more patriotic!

I wore this outfit on Saturday to the parade.  Every year our town does a parade.  They shut down the main street and the whole town comes out.  The kids were so excited they had trouble sleeping for days.

I wanted to wear something comfortable and airy, it was hot that day.  This top is so airy and breathable I was very comfortable in 90 degrees.  I normally size up when getting anything from the junior department.  But the small fit perfect (my normal size in tops).

I wore these flat sandals to walk to the parade.  We walked probably 2 miles that day and they were very comfortable.  Then I changed into my wedges to go to lunch.

I have been on the hunt for the perfect cut off shorts since early March.  I was looking for a pair for spring break, didn’t find any.  I continued to look for the perfect pair for summer.  I have probably ordered and tried on 20 pairs.  I was determined to find a pair under $100.  But my body shape needs a very specific cut when it comes to denim.

There is nothing easier in summer than a maxi dress.  And this one is amazing!  The colors are so gorgeous and just make me happy.  The fit is so comfy (and there is the cutest detail in the back!).  I love the high/low cut of this dress.  It was flowing everywhere I walked, almost felt magical.  This look is very effortless chic for summer!

Ok, I have to take a minute to talk about my obsession with these sunglasses.  I purchased them back in March for spring break.  I had no idea how much I would love them!  I have never spent anywhere close to this much for sunglasses, so this was a major splurge for me!  But I find that I am wearing them constantly!  They match everything and are so comfortable to wear.  They are so lightweight I can wear them for hours and I never feel them on my face.  I get so many compliments on them all the time.

I realize that spending this kind of money on a pair of sunglasses may not fit everyone’s budget.  These are very similar for less.  I just got these in the mail a couple days ago and I’m obsessed (only $55)!  And for only $12 these look amazing!

In the summer my favorite thing to wear is a dress.  I usually go for colors that are bight or light and neutral.  But once in a while I find a great black dress that is perfect for summer!

I wore this dress all afternoon, out to dinner, walked to the park, then hung out with friends late into the night.  It was comfortable and breezy the whole time on that hot day.

We had an amazing opportunity to shoot pictures at this awesome house!!  A friend of mine is helping decorate it and the owner of the home welcomed us to come and take pictures.  I was so excited!!  This house is so gorgeous!!  I felt like I was at a resort.  And the decorating is divine!  It’s exactly how I want my house to look!  If you are in the area and looking for a designer, check out Leggy Bird Designs!
