2014 was such a fun year for me!! I want to thank every single person who reads my blog, leaves comments, follows me on social media and shows your support. It means the world to me! Having a blog it’s really easy to go back and look at my entire year. Here are some of my favorite moments and products of 2014. Get ready, because it’s long…
Fresh Soy Face cleanser: I don’t think I can say enough great things about this cleanser! It will probably be on my favorites every single year. This cleanser works for all skin types, it gently deep cleans and is a makeup remover. If you have been reading for a while, you know how obsessed I am :)
Fresh Lotus Moisturizer & Seaberry Oil: The lotus moisturizer is my morning moisturizer all year long, no matter what the season or what I’m doing. It’s light weight and is very hydrating. Fresh seaberry oil I use almost every night. This is my night time moisturizer that keeps my skin so dewy and plump looking.
Jacket: LookBook Store / Top: BCBG (50% off) / Jeans: Paige / Shoes: Kate Spade / Bag: Vince Camuto / Lip: Dior ‘Incognito’
At this time of year I’m so over shopping for anything that has to do with winter. I’m already thinking about spring and warm weather. Since it’s still cold here, I look for pieces that can easily transition into spring. So get ready for a lot of jackets! I have always loved jackets, I find them so easy to wear. If my mind is drawing a blank on what to wear I throw on jeans, tee and a jacket. It’s simple, easy and always looks good.
Tutu Skirt: ChicWish (also available in grey, berry and ice orange) / Leather Jacket: BCBG (old) similar here, faux leather here / Tee: Sam Edelman ‘He Loves Me’ / Shoes: old, similar here, here, here / Bag: Clare V / Earrings: Baublebar / Lip: MAC Pink Nouveau Lipstick
If you follow me on Pinterest you may have caught on that I have a slight obsession with tutu skirts. There is something about them that is so fun!! They are so girly and feminine, and when I put one on I know I am going to have a good time. This particular tutu skirt is sooo comfortable. The waistband is elastic and the tulle is so soft and there is a nice satin liner on the inside. I am already eyeballing the ice orange color for spring/summer. I am seeing a gorgeous summer day, tutu skirt with a white tank and sandals…. seriously dreaming of warm weather! I am loving this tee for Valentine’s Day! (it’s not to early to think about that right?) I love how it says “he loves me”, it’s so festive without being pink or red.
We went out last night to celebrate my brother in laws birthday (John’s brother), so John and I went out a little early to take the photos before dinner. It was colder out than I expected, so I ran home and switched out my sandals for peep toe booties, and my tee for a cashmere v-neck sweater. You can see that look in my IG photo here. It was such a fun night with friends full of laughter! Happy Birthday Andrew!

A typical weekend for me is usually spent very casual and spending time with my family. Whether we are at home or out doing something, I want to be comfortable. The key to pulling off a good casual “loungy” outfit without looking like you are just wearing sweatpants or pj’s is easy. Get a great pair of loungewear pants, most of the time called “jogger” pants, and pair it with a tee or tank. At this point you can put on a denim shirt like I did, or a jacket like this, or just wear the tee and pants alone. The shoes is what really makes the difference on the overall look. Throw on a pair of strappy heeled sandals or pumps and you look much dressier. Wearing a pair of flats or flat boots like I am makes the outfit very casual and laid back.
Let me know if you like seeing more casual outfits. I just ordered myself some new jogger pants and am happy to style them for you :) Happy Friday and have a great weekend!
