So many of my favorite things happening in this outfit! I love mixing something dressy and something casual together. I also love a red lip with animal print and leather. I also love a great black clutch that isn’t to expensive. This clutch is older and I haven’t been able to find one similar until now. There is one from Topshop that is $50 and almost the exact same. Buy it now before it sells out!!
On Tuesday I shared my skincare haul from Sephora. Today I’m sharing all the beauty products I picked up. I tried out several new things I’ve never gotten before. I am really loving highlighting powders, contours and lips right now. Check out what I got and all the swatches:
Both of the sets from Hourglass are such a great deal! Just 1 Hourglass ambient lighting powder is $45, or you can get a set of 3 for $58. Amazing deal! And they are so beautiful. The highlight looks like a natural glow from within. Most people wouldn’t even know you are wearing a lighting powder, they would just think your skin has a healthy glow. Same thing with the blushes, such a natural glowing cheek. And easy to apply, you can’t mess it up even if you tried :)
So I went a little contour set crazy!!! I recently saw a youtube video showing the difference between contouring with bronzer vs a contour powder. What a difference!!!!! I questioned why I had ever contoured with bronzer. How did I not know the secret to perfect cheeks is a contour powder, not a bronzer? So my quest for the perfect contour started. I’ve used each one a couple times. And so far the one from NARS is my favorite. I love the color and how easily it blends. I’m running out to Sephora today to pick up the contour kit by Anastasia Beverly Hills. I will see how I like that one compared to the rest.
I love playing around and having fun with my lip color this time of year. The consistency of the Bite Beauty lipsticks is so creamy and moisturizing, they are so comfortable to wear. And they stay on the lip a long time. The set I purchased is sold out, but you can purchase each color individually. The lipstick set from Too Faced left me a little disappointed. They had a slightly gritty texture to them, it is very slight. I am very picky about texture, so this bothered me. If you are not bothered by a slight texture, these are gorgeous colors and are beautiful on.
The plumping lipgloss definitely plumps. It has a slight tingle, almost like a cooling effect. And it smells like chocolate!! yummy! This cheek stain from Tarte is so easy to use. Dot it a few times on the apples of your cheek then use your fingers to blend it out. It’s great to put on with no makeup at all for quick natural color on your cheeks. And of course I picked up my favorite mascara from Too Faced. Right now Sephora has a gift set where you get the full size mascara plus a mini one for the same price as a single tube of mascara. I love this time of year for gift sets!!!
I love getting dressed up for a fun Holiday party. If you live in a cold climate, you know it can be tricky to stay warm while still looking glamorous. Pairing a dress with tights and over the knee boots with a warm coat and gloves is the perfect way to stay warm while you are going to any party. For all you warm weather people, this look is still perfect; you just won’t need the coat and gloves. I am also loving this new handbag I got at Nordstrom. It’s the perfect size to carry all day long and also perfect to go to dinner. I love the structured shape, it’s so classic and sophisticated. It also comes in a larger size. Every year Nordstrom is my go to place for my Holiday shopping, whether I’m buying gifts or shopping for myself. Their customer service is top shelf. And no one can beat their return policy!

I absolutely love this time of year for buying anything skincare or beauty products at Sephora. They have so many amazing gift sets to choose from. Most brands have sets with many of their products bundled together at a discount (some times it’s a big discount!). It’s the perfect time to try out new products or to pick up something that is your favorite and give it as a gift. I especially love the smaller size of each product. It makes it perfect to leave out on the bathroom counter or by the sink, it’s also perfect for travel. And if you’re like me, I like to try new products all the time. So the smaller size gives me just enough to use for awhile then move onto something new. Don’t wait to long to pick some up, they sell out pretty quickly. I also picked up some of my skincare essentials I can’t live without. Here is what I recently picked up. (my beauty haul will be coming later this week!)
On the weekends I like to be ultra comfortable but still feel cute. Something as simple as wearing a leopard print sweatshirt, scarf and over the knee boots can make me feel much cuter than my basic grey sweatshirt that I wear about the house. This one has the same comfort level, but so much cuter!
