I have lived in a suburb about 40 minutes north of Chicago for 9 years and there are still so many things in Chicago I have never seen or done. Some times I forget to go out and explore my own city. So on Sunday my family and I went out to be tourists in Chicago. We first stopped at Buckingham Fountain. The fountain was already turned off for the season, but it was still beautiful. We walked around the park next to the fountain, then walked along Lake Michigan. Next we headed over to the bean. My kids thought it was so cool. At that point we were all really hungry so we got an early dinner. I had some of the best Italian food in my life! So delicious! I’m still thinking about it! On our way to the restaurant we walked past the Chicago Fire Dept. They invited us in to sit in the fire engines. Caleb was in heaven sitting in the “big huge fire truck”. Of course we had to stop at Nordstrom on Michigan Ave for a little shopping before we headed home. We had perfect weather and the trees are all so beautiful right now. It was a perfect day!
This jumpsuit is so comfortable I feel like I’m in pj’s. It’s very figure flattering and only $68! There is nothing I love more than mixing leopard and red. Having a leopard shoe and red bag/lip is a perfect combination for this all black jumpsuit. It gives it a modern classic elegant look. I wore this out on a date with my husband. I brought along my leather jacket for the cool night. I’m kinda obsessed with leopard pumps right now. They have become my neutral pump that I am constantly grabbing for.
This past weekend was the most beautiful fall weather. We spent the whole weekend out enjoying it. We raked leaves, carved pumpkins, drank pumpkin spice latte’s… pretty much anything that felt like fall.
I am completely obsessed with fall fashion! Every year I can’t wait for 60 degree weather so I can layer on a jacket or sweater and wear my boots. This year I am loving all the over the knee boots!!! The pair I’m wearing here are so comfortable. And I love the tie detail behind the knee. If OTK boots aren’t your thing, this outfit would be just as cute with a pair of booties like these.
I know I’ve talked about this wrap jacket before. But yesterday I put it on with this belt and I loved the way it looked so much I had to share. Just by adding a belt it completely changed the look of the jacket. And have I mentioned the inside of this jacket is fuzzy and soooo soft! I paired it with converse for a more casual look. Perfect for the weekend!
J. Crew is having 25% off everything, including new arrivals with code TGIFALL. Sale ends October 26th at 11:59pm EST. Here are some of my favorites at J. Crew right now.
It is no secret that I love fall so much! All the colors and pumpkin latte’s are my favorite! Fall also means I get to wear all my cozy sweaters. This one is so cute with the slit up the back. I opted to layer a black tank underneath to keep it a little more modest, as I was at the park with my kids and going to the grocery store. I’m also loving all the hats right now!! I could die! Seriously, everyone needs at least 1 good hat in their closet. On this day I really needed to wash my hair but I just didn’t want to. So I freshened up the ends by curling some of the pieces and put my hat on. So easy!
