Day 6 was exactly like days 3, 4, 5. Check out my blog for those days to see how it was.
Day 7 everything changed! First thing in the morning I started my period (a week early). I started thinking my body was really out to get me. I had a PT training session. I was talking with my trainer about my discomfort and how miserable I was. I could barely move and do the work out because I felt so heavy and weighed down. Instead of giving up like I had felt like doing, I decided to take matters into my own hands. I cleared my schedule that night and bought a big bottle of prune juice. At dinner time while my family ate Lou Malnati’s pizza, I drank 16 oz of prune juice. I am not going to give you any graphic details of what came next. All I will leave you with is a mental image of projectile diarrhea (think of projectile vomit) for 5 hours, and I lost 3 pounds. I woke up several times that night running to the bathroom thinking there was more, but thank goodness there wasn’t.
I woke up in the morning still with a rumbling stomach. Took my fiber drink, ate breakfast and off to the gym. Today is my boot camp class. As the instructor is explaining each station I can feel my stomach rumbling so much. I’m afraid that when I do my jump squats I’m going to have poo fly out of my butt. But I’m at the gym, ready to work out; I’m going to do what I can. And if I have to run out, oh well! I finished class just fine, ran some errands, picked Sofia up from school; all while my stomach is rumbling. After lunch, it finally hits me. Of course right when I sit down on the toilet, that is when my customer comes to my house to pick up her order. I tell Sofia to answer the door and hand her the order. Sofia answers the door, invites her in, tells her I’m in the bathroom and does not give her the order- kids!!
Afterwards I took a 15 minute power nap and I woke up a new woman! I felt light and energetic. Within hours I notice my complexion was glowing. Everyone was right, I just needed to get all that poop out!! I’m so excited that I only have 2 days left of this cleanse. I’m so ready for it to be over. I keep thinking about chocolate and a glass of wine.
