I have lived in a suburb about 40 minutes north of Chicago for 9 years and there are still so many things in Chicago I have never seen or done.  Some times I forget to go out and explore my own city.  So on Sunday my family and I went out to be tourists in Chicago.  We first stopped at Buckingham Fountain.  The fountain was already turned off for the season, but it was still beautiful.  We walked around the park next to the fountain, then walked along Lake Michigan.  Next we headed over to the bean.  My kids thought it was so cool.  At that point we were all really hungry so we got an early dinner.  I had some of the best Italian food in my life!  So delicious!  I’m still thinking about it!  On our way to the restaurant we walked past the Chicago Fire Dept.  They invited us in to sit in the fire engines.  Caleb was in heaven sitting in the “big huge fire truck”.  Of course we had to stop at Nordstrom on Michigan Ave for a little shopping before we headed home.  We had perfect weather and the trees are all so beautiful right now.  It was a perfect day!
